For over eight years, Black Girls With Bookmarks has been a space where our stories aren’t just read, but lived.
Whether you’re a cover-to-cover traditionalist or someone who just managed to skim the first chapter, there is a seat for you here. We celebrate the fact that Black people are not a monolith; and through centering Black literature exclusively, we create a beautiful community where our different ages, backgrounds, and perspectives are the very thing that makes our discussions whole.
From silent reading dates in the park to virtual deep-dives from your living room, we are a hybrid community built on the belief that good storytelling is the shortest distance between two people.
