Since 2018, Black Girls With Bookmarks has provided a space for community and literacy. What started as a local gathering in the Raleigh area has evolved into a safe space for Black women who believe our stories deserve our attention.
We celebrate the diverse ages, backgrounds, and perspectives that each member brings to the table. Whether you are an audiobook enthusiast, a silent reader, or a deep-dive traditionalist, your presence is the final piece that makes our community discussions whole.

We have built this editorial environment to honor the "marginalia" of our lives; the real-time connections and daily conversations that happen between the pages. From in-person workshops to virtual deep-dives, this is a hybrid space built on the belief that good storytelling is the shortest distance between two people.
